Conferito il premio “Genera Press” al Liceo Canopoleno di Sassari. A Giorgia Meloni e Aurora Bigella il premio “Giornalisti in erba”. Applausi per il Castellanese nel mondo Tino Codinas. Continuano gli appuntamenti con il Genera Festival. Stasera, la sala XI del Castello dei Doria ha ospitato Il secondo appuntamento dell’edizione Genera Festival 2023 è stato incentrato sui giovani e sul concetto di generatività. Ad aprire la serata sono stati proprio i giovani studenti, con delle riflessioni in pillole sul concetto che si ha dei ragazzi di oggi, “la generazione Z a cui viene detto sempre di rinunciare, che si rifugia in microscopici auricolari nascosti tra le orecchie”. Gli artisti di Clip, Collettivo letterario informale e performativo, ospiti del festival ma anche “dentro” il festival, come hanno precisato, accompagnati dalla chitarra di Daniele Palmas, hanno recitato dei reading incentrati su ciò che gira intorno alla parola generatività: metafore e riflessioni sulla vita, sul senso di ciò che è rivoluzionario e su ciò che rappresenta il passato, come nel caso della storia dell’ultimo fanalista dell’Isola dell’Asinara. I “generini”, così si sono autodefiniti, hanno presentato i loro testi, dove hanno spiegato con parole semplici e chiare il progetto ET, ossia l’Einstein Telescope, di cui tanto si parla negli ultimi tempi, che le miniere di Sos Enattos di Lula sono candidate ad ospitare; se ne è parlato insieme al sindaco Mario Calia, al giornalista-scrittore Bepi Vigna, autore del fumetto fantascientifico Nathan Never e a un ospite d’eccezione: Andrea Bettini, conduttore del programma settimanale dedicato a scienza e innovazione "Futuro24" su RaiNews24 e di "Oggi è" su Rai Scuola.
Il sindaco di Lula e i due giornalisti hanno illustrato i dettagli del progetto ET, intervistati dai ragazzi.
“Per realizzarlo ci vogliono due miliardi di euro – ha spiegato il sindaco di Lula – la nostra forza è stata quella di essere uniti tra Italia e Sardegna. I cervelli migliori sono in Italia. Abbiamo il meglio del meglio, è una partita che forse, anzi sicuramente, vinceremo”.
“Io faccio il tifo per Lula – ha detto Andrea Bettini – è importante studiare questi temi per espandere la nostra conoscenza. I soldi stanziati per la ricerca scientifica sono un grandissimo investimento, che permetterà al territorio di crescere in termini di occupazione. Che ad ospitare un’opera di tale portata sia una miniera, quella di Sos Enattos, che non viene più utilizzata, è un fatto molto positivo, per tutto l’indotto che creerebbe”.
Quanto è vicina oggi la fantascienza alla scienza ufficiale?, hanno chiesto i ragazzi a Bepi Vigna. “La vera fantascienza va a cercare teorie a cui gli scienziati lavorano, senza distanziarsi troppo, senza quindi sfociare nel fantasy – ha spiegato l’autore di Nathan Never –. Gran parte della fantascienza, quella che parla dei grandi viaggi spaziali, si basa sul concetto deformabile dello spazio-tempo, consentendo dei viaggi tra pianeti”. I giovani studenti partecipanti al laboratorio “Genera Press 2023”, provenienti da diversi istituti (Liceo Ginnasio Canopoleno, Liceo Statale “Margherita di Castelvì”, Liceo Scientifico e linguistico di Castelsardo) hanno esposto il loro personale concetto di generatività, presentando i progetti legati al progetto “Genera Press” e il reportage realizzato all’Isola dell’Asinara. “Il futuro del Parco è legato agli stimoli dei giovani. Da lì ci si rende conto di quella che è la nostra responsabilità – ha spiegato il direttore del Parco, Vittorio Gazale –. Parlare di futuro può sembrare semplice, ma le scelte che si fanno possono determinare delle perdite. 52 kmq di isola è stata sottratta dalla modernità. È fonte di emozioni che non possono essere vissute da nessun’altra parte. La cosa fondamentale è non perdere la magia particolare del luogo”.
“È importante promuovere un’economia green, all’interno del Parco – ha evidenziato il commissario straordinario Giancarlo Muntoni –. Sarebbe importante valutare queste possibilità, che esistono già in altri parchi naturali, anche per l’Isola dell’Asinara”.
I tre caposquadra, Walter Pani, Giampaolo Cassitta e Alice Sassu, hanno curato i laboratori curati dagli studenti: un lavoro partito dalla ricerca della persona da intervistare, concluso con il lavoro di post produzione. Il primo servizio, realizzato dagli studenti del Liceo Margherita di Castelvì di Sassari, con caposquadra Alice Sassu, ha come protagonista la storica azienda produttrice di olio San Giuliano. Il secondo servizio, curato dagli studenti del Liceo scientifico di Castelsardo, con caposquadra Giampaolo Cassitta, ha raccontato la storia del Bulli Surf Club di Lu Bagnu. Il terzo servizio, montato dai ragazzi dell’Istituto Nazionale Canopoleno di Sassari, ha avuto come tutor Walter Pani. Gli studenti hanno raccontato la storia di giovani allevatori che hanno scelto di realizzare in Sardegna i loro sogni. Il primo premio “Genera Festival” è stato assegnato dalla giuria agli studenti del Liceo Canopoleno “capaci di proiettarsi con la mente e con gli occhi al loro futuro, mantenendo costante la piena consapevoleza delle loro origini”. Riconoscimenti anche agli altri due istituti. “Hanno vinto tutti”, ha dichiarato Giampaolo Cassitta. Del progetto dedicato ai giornalisti in erba, andato avanti tutto l’anno a La Nuova Sardegna, ha parlato il direttore Giacomo Bedeschi. “La professione del giornalista resta la più bella del mondo, consente di non annoiarsi mai – ha dichiarato Bedeschi –. È anche un importante servizio per la democrazia”. Tra gli studenti che hanno partecipato al progetto, inviando al quotidiano i loro contributi, sono state premiate Giorgia Meloni e Aurora Bigella.
Ospiti dell’evento gli artisti di Clip, Collettivo letterario informale e performativo. Presente anche Davide Sanna, uno degli ideatori di Relicta, la startup sassarese che ha sviluppato un materiale
bioplastico idrosolubile, ottenuto dagli scarti di lavorazione dell’industria del pesce. Intervistato da uno dei “generini”, ha spiegato il suo lavoro di ricerca. “Siamo partiti nel 2017 e abbiamo lavorato per anni nel progetto, gratuitamente – ha spiegato Davide Sanna –. Nel 2020 abbiamo ricevuto i primi finanziamenti che ci hanno permesso di creare il primo prototipo. Ora altri finanziamenti ci stanno permettendo di continuare a sviluppare il progetto: il materiale diventerà una pellicola che tutti potranno utilizzare in casa”.
Gli intermezzi musicali sono stati curati dalle cantanti Enrica Virdis e Rita Penduzzu. Per quanto riguarda la sezione “Castellanesi nel mondo”, il riconoscimento è andato ad Agostino
Codinas, Tino per gli amici; Eros Codinas sul lavoro. Emigrato a Londra negli anni Ottanta, prima di realizzarsi come make up designer, capo trucco, parrucco ed effetti speciali per il cinema, ha svolto i lavori più umili e comuni. Oggi vive in Norvegia, ad Oslo, e ha un suo team. Tra le produzioni cinematografiche internazionali con le quali ha collobatorato ci sono i film Lilyhammer (con Paul Kaye e Bruce Springsteen), Call Girl (con Pernilla August e David Dencik) e Serious Game (con Michael Nyquist e Sverrir Gudnason). Domani, sempre nella suggestiva sala XI del Castello, si terrà la serata finale del festival, con l’assegnazione dei restanti riconoscimenti del Premio Giornalistico della Sardegna – città di
Castelsardo.

Tonight, room XI of the Doria Castle hosted The second event of the Genera Festival 2023 edition was focused on young people and concept of generativity. The young students opened the evening with some reflections pills on the concept we have of today’s kids, “generation Z who is always told to give up, which takes refuge in microscopic earphones hidden between the ears”.
The artists of Clip, an informal and performative literary collective, guests of the festival but also “inside” the festival, as they specified, accompanied by the guitar of Daniele Palmas, they recited gods readings focused on what revolves around the word generativity: metaphors and reflections on life, on sense of what is revolutionary and what the past represents, as in the case of history of the last fanana of the Island of Asinara. The “generini”, as they defined themselves, presented their texts, where they explained with words simple and clear the ET project, i.e. the Einstein Telescope, which has been talked about so much in recent times, that the Lula’s Sos Enattos mines are candidates to host; it was discussed together with mayor Mario Calia, the journalist-writer Bepi Vigna, author of the science fiction comic Nathan Never and a guest exceptional: Andrea Bettini, host of the weekly program dedicated to science and innovation "Futuro24" on RaiNews24 and “Oggi è” on Rai Scuola. The mayor of Lula and the two journalists illustrated the details of the ET project, interviewed by the children. “To achieve it we need two billion euros – explained the mayor of Lula – our strength was that of being united between Italy and Sardinia. The best brains are in Italy. We have the best of better, it’s a match that perhaps, indeed certainly, we will win.”
“I am rooting for Lula – said Andrea Bettini – it is important to study these themes to expand the our knowledge. The money allocated for scientific research is a huge investment, which will allow the area to grow in terms of employment. Than to host a work of this magnitude whether it is a mine, that of Sos Enattos, which is no longer used, is a very positive fact, all things considered the related activities it would create.”
How close is science fiction to official science today?, the kids asked Bepi Vigna. “There true science fiction goes in search of theories on which scientists work, without distancing themselves too much, without therefore leading into fantasy – explained the author of Nathan Never –. Much of science fiction the one that talks about great space travel is based on the deformable concept of space-time, allowing travel between planets.”
The young students participating in the “Genera Press 2023″ laboratory, coming from different institutes (high school Canopoleno Gymnasium, “Margherita di Castelvì” State High School, Scientific and Linguistic High School of Castelsardo) exposed their personal concept of generativity, presenting the projects related to “Genera Press” project and the reportage created on the Island of Asinara. “The future of the Park is linked to stimuli from young people. From there we realize what our responsibility is – explained the director of the Park, Vittorio Gazale –. Talking about the future may seem simple, but the choices that are do can lead to losses. 52 square kilometers of island has been stolen by modernity. It is a source of emotions that cannot be experienced anywhere else. The key thing is not to lose the particular magic of the place”.
“It is important to promote a green economy within the Park – highlighted the commissioner extraordinary Giancarlo Muntoni –. It would be important to evaluate these possibilities, which already exist other natural parks, also for the Island of Asinara”.
The three team leaders, Walter Pani, Giampaolo Cassitta and Alice Sassu, oversaw the workshops run by the students: a job that started with the search for the person to interview and concluded with the post work production. The first service, created by the students of the Liceo Margherita of Castelvì di Sassari, with team leader Alice Sassu, has as its protagonist the historic San Giuliano oil producing company. The second service, curated by the students of the Scientific High School of Castelsardo, with team leader Giampaolo Cassitta, told the story of the Bulli Surf Club of Lu Bagnu. The third service, edited by the boys of the National Canopy Institute of Sassari, was tutored by Walter Pani. Students have told the story of young farmers who chose to make their dreams come true in Sardinia. The first “Genera Festival” prize was awarded by the jury to the students of the Liceo Canopoleno “capable of projecting themselves with their mind and eyes towards their future, keeping the flood constant awareness of their origins”. Recognition also goes to the other two institutes. “Everyone won,” he said declared Giampaolo Cassitta.

Guests of the event will be the artists of Clip, an informal and performative literary collective. Also present Davide Sanna, one of the creators of Relicta, the Sassari startup that has developed a material water-soluble bioplastic, obtained from processing waste from the fish industry. Interviewed by one of the “generini”, explained his research work. “We started in 2017 and have worked for years in the project, free of charge – explained Davide Sanna –. In 2020 we received the first ones funding that allowed us to create the first prototype. Now other funding is available allowing us to continue developing the project: the material will become a film that everyone they can use at home.”
The musical interludes were curated by the singers Enrica Virdis and Rita Penduzzu. As regards the “Castellanesi nel mondo” section, the recognition went to Agostino Codinas, Tino for friends; Eros Codinas at work. Emigrated to London in the 1980s, before realize himself as a make-up designer, head of make-up, hair and special effects for the cinema, he carried out the more humble and common jobs. Today he lives in Norway, in Oslo, and has a team of his own. Among the productions international films with which he has collaborated are the films Lilyhammer (with Paul Kaye and Bruce Springsteen), Call Girl (with Pernilla August and David Dencik) and Serious Game (with Michael Nyquist and Sverrir Gudnason). Tomorrow, again in the evocative room XI of the Castle, the final evening of the festival will be held, with the assignment of the remaining awards of the Sardinia Journalism Award – city of
Castelsardo.
